Hydraulic Flushing System

Hydraulic flushing is a critical maintenance procedure designed to clean hydraulic systems by circulating high-flow, high-pressure fluid through pipelines, hoses, valves, and other hydraulic components. The primary objective is to dislodge and remove contaminants such as dirt, rust, metal particles, scale, residual oils, and assembly debris that may have accumulated during fabrication, installation, or system operation.

This process ensures the hydraulic fluid remains clean and free from foreign particles, which is vital for preserving the integrity and performance of precision hydraulic equipment. Contaminants, if left unchecked, can cause wear and tear on internal surfaces, clog or damage valves and actuators, and degrade seals, leading to system inefficiencies, unexpected breakdowns, or even catastrophic failure.

Hydraulic flushing typically involves specialized equipment including flushing rigs equipped with high-capacity pumps, filtration units, flow meters, and temperature control systems. During the procedure, the system is flushed until the required cleanliness level—often defined by ISO 4406 or NAS 1638 cleanliness standards—is achieved.
